Ultrasonic Sensor Based Smart Blind Man Stick

This project aims to design an ultrasonic sensor based navigation system for blind people. We are using here three ultrasonic sensors HC-SR04 arranged at centre,left and right side of stick. The ultrasonic sensors are contactless sensors having detection range upto 400 cm. The information of obstacles is then passed to microcontroller ATMEGA328 which is then interfaced with the voice chip module APR9600. We can record voice messages and play back for audio guidance. We have also used 20×4 LCD display to verify the sensor working status. The sensor distance values are displayed on the LCD.
