The inconvenience encountered in many public dealing places like restaurants, banks, canteens etc. where people normally follow queue system has called for many solutions to speed up and ease the dealings. In this paper we show a low power microcontroller based smart token number display system to overcome the inconvenience mentioned above. Bank token number display project is built using Atmega328 Microcontroller and seven segment display capable to display four digits using transistor drivers. The token number is entered through android enabled mobile phone which sends same data to microcontroller using bluetooth module. We are using terminal app for android to send the serial data. This app also has feature to speak out token number.
Token issue systems are ideal for banks, airports, public dealing offices, hospitals,doctor’s clinics, restaurants and other such places where people have to wait in queue for their turn. These systems allow customers to wait without having to stand in line, once their number is displayed then only will they have to get in line for their turn. In this way the device serve the purpose of improving the performance of the banking system, E-Seva centres for bill payments.
