GSM BASED IRRIGATION MOTOR PUMP CONTROL

The aim of this project is to provide an efficient solution for remote control of irrigation motor pump for illiterates. This project application has  soil moisture sensor which monitors soil status. If it is dry / Wet Alert SMS is sent to authorized mobile number. The user has to check the status and send SMS to control motor operations such as ON / OFF of motor pump remotely from anywhere in the world.  The microcontroller is the heart of the application. In this we are using Atmega328 microcontroller (Arduino UNO) from AVR family. The relay switch to which irrigation motor is connected  is operated through BC547 transistor driver based amplifier circuit. The status is displayed on 16×2 LCD.
