The major advantage of GSM over other wireless technologies is it’s global range. We are using Cellphone to send SMS for controlling electrical loads from anywhere in the world. The GSM Modem receives SMS , passes it to arduino uno based atmega328 microcontroller which processes command and performs switching operation of electrical loads through ULN 2003 current driver. The 16*2 LCD Display is used to show the status of the circuit. The electrical loads are interfaced through relays.
